After Ringgold
Weaving together bits and pieces from various artists' work with my own, I created a new image that contains color, texture, line, and proportions that are new. Because I am "collaborating" with other artists who use many types of media I have titled this body of work Mixed Metaphors. An exhibition I saw of Faith Ringgold's art really resonated with me. This monoprint takes bits and pieces of her art and reshuffles it along with my composition and background.
