Miriam Stern

I wanted to depict a huge pekl and thought about putting it in a box. The idea would represent the overwhelming pekelakh that burden us. I realized that what I was imagining was similar to paintings by Magritte who squeezed huge size apples in to rooms. So taking a cue from a master, I created this painting.
